Last Dives in Lembeh
Today is our last day of diving in Lembeh, because this afternoon, we're heading for Manado. ANyway, our first dive location was in Magic Rock. It was another black bottomed beach, pretty sandy. It was so cool because we saw this really small cuttlefish (compared to the ones we saw yesterday), it was so adorable.
We also saw a few seahorses. One of it was a thorny seahorse, it was approximately as tall as the length of my hand. The other one was just a common seahorse, I prefer the other one better, but this one is still okay. Later on, we found some well-camouflaged flounders. The hid very nicely beneath the sand. We also found two robust ghost pipefish. They were brown in colour, the ones which we saw yesterday was green. Before the end of the dive we saw a banded boxer shrimp, oddly enough there was a slice of fresh cucumber laying right next to it. I took a few pictures and then we ascend.
This is our last dive in Lembeh and I'd better make it our best. This time, it's located in Pantai Parigi. I saw so many nudibranchs; I saw diannae chromodoris, annae chromodoris, strigata chromodoris, varians chelidonura, and many more which I cannot remember the names. I also saw a few moray eels, I think it was giant moray eel and starry moray eel. They looked really scary and fierced. I couldn't imagine what I'd be if it decided to bite me, I heard that it has strong jaw muscles-- reallly strong. I took a few good pictures of it and moved on.
At 19metres of depth, we found an orange frogfish. It was quite small, about the size of my fist. It was ugly, yet very appealing. Its got nice patterns on its body. I took loads and loads of pictures.
Later on, we saw a mantis shrimp. This one is so cool, because when I wanted to take pictures of it, it doesn't swim away like the other mantis shrimps which I have come across lately. we then saw some more Robust ghost pipefish and more flounder. I found them quite boring as I have seen them many times before. Not that I don't like it; it's just that it's my last dive and I haven't seen anything extra ordinary (yet). But then, we came across a fingered dragon which I have never seen before. It was amazing, and it was very adorable. Then we found a Welander's flat head. I tried taking picture but it kept burying itself under the sand, which was very annoying because you could barely spot it in the picture. To top it off, we saw a group of rigid shrimp fish swimming close to a helmet gurnard. it was sooooooo cool well that definitely ended my dives in Lembeh but i hope i will come here again someday. i wanted to see some hairy frogfish here, but the guides told me it wasn't the season. oh well, better luck next time. im looking forward for my next dive whereever it is.
