Gorontalo
This holidays we've decided to visit this lovely location called Gorontalo. To be honest, it's not the first location I would think of as a great diving site, but hey we;re just exploring. Although at first the river seemed a bit dodgy where you can see groups of garbage passing by, not exactly what I had in mind, but hey diving is UNDER the water not on the surface. BUt the thought of clumps of garbage awaiting as you ascend is really not that pleasant. When I first looked at the river, I was shocked as it was brown. like literally brown. I thought we were diving there, but thank god we weren't, it was just where the boat dock is.
WIth what i've seen so far, I;m not exactly convinced this is a 'great' dive site....
Well that thought never lasted long. As soon as you bypass the river, you can really see the colour change of the water, which was pretty surprising to me. My sister and I were just talking how you can literally see a line dividing the 'brown' side and the 'blue' side.
Woah Woah Woah.
Yeappp. the diving was fantastic. I mean the views were just beautiful and we saw the famous Salvador Dali Coral. I've never seen this type of coral before, and it was truly amazing seeing a 'living' Salvador Dali. It is given this particular name because the pattern on the coral is similar to Dali's art works, of Surrealism.
